The National Testing Agency (NTA) earlier conducted DUJAT, which is now replaced by CUET UG exam 2023. All the colleges under Delhi university accept CUET UG scores from the academic year 2022. 

If you wish to apply for the exam, you must make sure to satisfy the criteria set by the exam-conducting university. Otherwise, your candidature will be canceled.

DU JAT Exam Eligibility 2023

DU JAT Exam, now replaced by the CUET UG exam eligibility criteria, is university specific. If you are applying for CUET UG to a particular college, be sure to visit its official website to learn about the college-specific eligibility requirement. 

Eligibility criteria comprise the academic qualification requirements, a minimum percentage that should be scored in the 12th standard, and the age limit.

You can apply for the CUET exams that provide admission to professional programs like BMS and BBA programs only if you fulfill the eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, age limit, and educational qualification.

 If you fail to meet any of the below-mentioned criteria, you may not be able to proceed with the application process.

  • The final selection is based on CUET UG scores.

CUET Educational Qualification 2023

You must have qualified for the senior secondary examination from a recognized board of education or any equivalent board to apply for the CUET UG exam.

  • If you have appeared in the 12th examination but are waiting for results, you can also apply for the exam.
  • Also, you must have a minimum of 50-55% (college-specific) to be able to write CUET. 
  • There is no age limit unless specified by the college to you apply.

There is no upper age limit to be eligible for the CUET exam.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2023: Nationality

Before proceeding with the CUET Application form, you are advised to check whether you meet eligibility or not. 

  • You must be a citizen of India to apply for the exam.
  • If you are a foreign student and seeking admission to the professional undergraduate programs at Delhi University, then you can apply separately on Foreign Students’ Registry website and can contact the Deputy Dean (Foreign Students’ Registry), Conference Centre, University of Delhi-110007.

CUET Reservation Criteria 2023

The relaxation of marks is provided for eight categories that are termed "Supernumerary" as per the information brochure released by the Delhi University. The following categories are eligible for the merit-based admission process for CUET 2023. CUET Reservation Percentage for each category is listed below:

Scheduled Castes (SC) 15%
Scheduled Tribes (ST) 7.50%
Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) 27%

CUET Admission Policy 2023

  • Just appearing in CUET (UG) - 2023 does not allow admission to the desirous University.
  • The selection and admission are subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents, and such other criteria required by the University you apply for.
  • Admissions are handled at the level of each of the Central Universities (CUs) for their respective programs. 
  • After the declaration of the CUET (UG) - 2023 result by NTA, the respective CUs will declare the counseling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the University.
  • For all admission-related procedures/queries, the candidates are advised to refer to the website of the applied University after the declaration of the result of CUET (UG) – 2023.
  • NTA does not have any role in the preparation of the Merit List.
