The Consortium of NLUs administers the CLAT 2025 Exam at various test centres across the country. However, the number of centers/cities where the exam is conducted may not be constant every year.

For instance, did you read about new additions to the exam cities during the 2025 exam session? The reason for this fluctuation is the increase or decrease in the number of applications. 157 CLAT Exam Center locations were announced, spread across 89 cities.

• When you apply for CLAT, how many centers can you select? You can select up to 3 center preferences while filling out the form.
• Can you edit your center location or change it after the CLAT admit card is out? You can request the Consortium to change the center. However, you're mostly allocated any exam venue in the first preferred city.

How to Modify CLAT Exam Centers 2025?

Candidates appearing for CLAT 2025 can modify their preferred test locations once the notification is out. Please note that requests for altering the test location beyond this deadline will not be accommodated.

Here is a guide to updating your test location preferences:

1. Sign in to your CLAT account on the CLAT 2025 website.

2. Select the 'Edit Application' button.

3. Access the 'Preferences' tab.

4. Review and modify your test location preferences if necessary.

5. Proceed to the ‘Reservation’ tab by clicking the 'Next (>)' button.

6. Scroll down, consent to the declaration, and click the ‘Submit Form’ button.

Requests to modify the details provided in the CLAT 2025 Application Form will not be considered after the specified deadline.

How to Choose CLAT Exam Centers 2025?

You can follow the instructions below to select the exam centers while completing the CLAT Application Form 2025.

• While registering on the official website, click the "Apply" button.
• Go to the CLAT application dashboard and click the "Preferences" tab.
• You must select three exam centres in the order of preference per your choice.
• Click the "Save & Continue" button and submit the application form.

How to Update your CLAT Test Centre?

1) Log in to your CLAT account.

2) Click the 'Edit Application' button.

3) Go to the 'Preferences' tab.

4) Update the 3 test centre preferences as required.

5) Click the Next (>) button to visit the 'Reservation' tab.

6) Scroll down, agree to the declaration and click the Submit Form button.

Must Carry Documents to CLAT Exam Center 2025

You must carry photo ID proofs for identity verification and the CLAT Admit Card 2025 to the exam hall.

• PAN Card
• Passport
• Photo identity proof issued by a People's Representative on official letterhead, along with a photograph.
• Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead, along with a photograph.
• Driving License
• Voter's ID Card
• Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College/ University

CLAT Exam Center Instructions 2025

Everyone must follow certain CLAT Exam Day Instructions set by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) on the exam day. Any violation of the rules mentioned below might result in disqualification. 

• Carry all the documents and admit cards to the CLAT exam city without fail.
• Do not carry unrequired objects to the test centre, such as paper chits or electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, pagers, and health bands.
• Reach the CLAT exam centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam.
• You shall not be permitted to enter the exam hall after reporting time. 
• You will be disqualified from the exam if found either copying, receiving or assisting others.
• Avoid talking inside the exam hall.
• Ensure you write your roll number on the top of the rough sheet and dump it in the drop box before leaving the examination room.
