B. Tech in Design is planned to start in 2025 at the Department of Design, IITD. The intake will be based on JEE advanced ranking.

Here are the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced for the B.Tech in Design course at IIT Delhi.

1. JEE Main 2025 scores 

Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in the BE/BTech Paper of JEE (Main) 2025

2. Age limit 

For the IIT Delhi B.Tech in Design eligibility, candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995. 

3. Number of attempts 

A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Candidates who have appeared for JEE Advanced 2024 for the first time can also appear for JEE Advanced 2025.

Also, the candidates who will appear for JEE Advanced 2025 for the first time can participate in JEE Advanced 2026. 

4. Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination 

Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. 

Note: Candidates who appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2025, irrespective of the combination of subjects attempted/offered. 

5. Earlier admission at IITs 

A candidate should NOT have been admitted to an IIT irrespective of whether the candidate continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” / at a “reporting centre” in the past.

UCEED Eligibility Criteria for IIT Delhi B.Tech in Design 2025

Here are the eligibility criteria for UCEED for the B.Tech in Design course at IIT Delhi.

1. Age Limit

If you are in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category, you must have been born on or after October 1, 2000, and if you are in the SC, ST, or PwD category, you must have been born on or after October 1, 1995.

2. Number of Attempts

A candidate can attempt the UCEED entrance exam a maximum of two times in consecutive years. The UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same academic year.

3. Qualifying Examination

The candidate must have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2024 OR should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2025 for UCEED exam eligibility.

Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.

Note: Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in the UCEED entrance exam.
