UPES Dehradun Law Admission Process   

To seek admission at UPES Dehradun Law, the candidates must follow the below steps:  

• The candidates are required to visit the official website and click on the admission portal.  
• Then you will have the pop up of “apply now” section. 
• The candidates will be required to provide the basic details like name, DOB, Gender, Country etc.  
• Once you have selected the course, the candidates must mention the mode of application whether it is through UPES Entrance Exam or through Non-Exam format. 
• Once all the essential details have been filled, kindly make the fee payment.  

To secure admission at UPES Dehradun Law, the candidates must appear for the ULSAT / CLAT/Board Marks/ CUET Exam. The ULSAT (UPES Dehradun law entrance) has the following criteria:   

• Mode of Examination – Online test  
• Test duration – 2 hours  
• You can appear for the demo test on the official website

In the case of the ULSAT Exam:

CLAT Registration has the following steps:  

• CLAT Registration: The first step is registering on the official website using your email address and mobile number. 
• Fill in your details: Once registered, you must fill in your personal and academic information, including your name, date of birth, educational qualifications, communication details, qualification details, exam centres preference, NLU preferences, and reservations. 
• Upload documents: You must upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other documents required for CLAT application form 2026. 
• Pay the CLAT 2026 registration fees: After completing the application form, you must pay the application fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. 
• Submit the form: Finally, review and submit your application form online.

UPES Dehradun Law Eligibility Criteria 

The UPES Dehradun Law has the following eligibility criteria:

The Exam Pathway: Appear for the ULSAT Exam  

The Non-Exam Pathway includes the following conditions:   

In the case of CLAT Merit/CUET   

• In the case of courses like BA LL.B/ BBA LL.B(Hons) - the candidates are required to have a minimum of 50% marks in classes 10th and 12th and a CLAT AIR ranking of upto 15,000  

In the case of Board Merit   

• In the case of courses like BA LL.B/ BBA LL.B(Hons), the candidates are required to have a minimum of 75% marks in classes 10th and 12th with the five main subjects (English is one of the compulsory subjects) that have been exempted from ULSAT.   

TO BE NOTED: Up to 20% of the seats will be filled through the Board Merit/CLAT AIR /UL-SAT India category. If any such seats remain vacant, the UPES Dehradun law has the right to fill those seats through ULSAT.  

  For PG Courses (LLM): 

Candidates are required to appear for the ULSAT LLM/CLAT-PG. The eligibility criteria include a minimum of 50% marks at the 10th and 12th levels, a minimum of 50% marks in graduation with an LL.B Degree or equivalent, and the online ULSAT-LLM exam.

UPES Dehradun law hostel fee structure 

• On-campus hostel accommodation at UPES Dehradun Law is available for both boys and girls on a first-come, first-served basis.   
• The rooms are allocated in a triple-sharing setup.  
• Students who wish to stay in the hostel must deposit the required fee in advance.
