The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the recruitment of more than 1 Lakh vacancies in Level 1 posts of 7th Pay Commission. Out of these 103769 vacancies, 20734 vacancies will be filled through Course Completed Act Apprentices. Latest:  RRB is conducting meetings and bidding for selecting an Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) to help RRB conduct the online exams. The meetings have been postponed to June 2020. Also, in the recent announcement, RRB announced that ECA will conduct the RRB Group D Exam by the end of 2020 if everything goes well. 

The Indian Railways has decided not to make any new recruitments henceforth for RRB Group D posts. To make up for the loss, Railways has canceled the vacancies due to cost-cutting. According to the documents of the Ministry of Railways, cost-cutting is being discussed from all the 17 zonal railways to reduce the ill effects of lockdown. 

• Candidates applying for CCAAs must submit the NAC certificate issued by NCVT during document verification.

What is Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs)?

CCAA is Indian Railways Train Apprentices under the Apprentice Act, 1096 in certain designated trades. The Act was enacted by the Government to regulate and control the training of apprentices. Railways engage apprentices in the workshops of the Civil, Mechanical and S&T Engineering Departments, Production Units, Diesel and Electric Loco Sheds, Carriage and Wagon Depot and Electrification Projects.

RRB Group D Application form 2020

The application procedure given below is given below:

• Visit the official website of RRB.
• Click on the Recruitment option on the homepage.
• Select the region for which you want to apply as Indian railways provide an option for 21 regions of India.
• An online application is displayed on your screen
• Fill in all your details carefully and apply for the desired post.
• Submit the application form (Stage I completed).
• A registration number and password is displayed on the screen.
• Login to the website again using the registration number and password.
• Fill in the required details (Stage II completed).
• In the next step, make the application fee payment through net banking/ debit card/ credit card/ e-challan/ pay-in-slip payable any bank.
• Affix your passport-sized photograph and signature along with left-hand thumb impression, also copy the declaration.
• Scan the filled template in the format given in the instructions.
• Submit the application form but before that check it carefully and take out print for further use.

RRB Group D Salary

 As per the 7^th Pay Commission, RRB Group D is eligible for an initial pay of Rs18,000 per month. Apart from the salary, they are also eligible for various perks and allowances.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2020

RRB has officially released the section-wise marks for various sections asked in RRB Group D exam. Check the latest exam pattern as per the RRB Group D Notification 2020.

Stage 1 RRB Group D is a computer-based test (CBT) pattern as follow:

• The Computer Based Test is objective in nature.
• The RRC Question paper for group D will be Based on the Subjects like general knowledge/ awareness/mathematics/reasoning etc.
• The Questions will be of the level of 10th class standard.
• Written Exam consists only Multiple-Choice Questions.
• There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd for every incorrect response.
