Month Wise Strategy for Quantitative Techniques for CLAT 2026
In this article, we will provide you with the best way to practice the Quantitative Techniques questions, and you will get the proper CLAT Study Plan month-wise.
August Month
Students who started their preparation one or two months before August should revise all the topics in August because we have to work simultaneously on studying and revising.
Earlier, we studied the theory part of all chapters and then started practising and revising it, which is wrong. We will prepare 2 or 3 chapters fully and then revise them.
If you have completed a percentage or any other topic, start practising data interpretation questions related to that topic because data interpretation has the maximum weightage in the Quantitative Techniques section.
The students who start their preparation in August will have to speed up their pace because they have maximum time till October to come parallel with those who have started their preparation 1 or 2 months before. For concepts, you should refer to the guidance videos by Legal Edge and solve questions either from RSMs or from RS Aggarwal Quant's book.
For example, Suppose you have studied the percentage chapter in your coaching institute today, then after reaching home. In that case, you will divide your time in such a way that if you have decided to practice 1 hour daily for the quantitative techniques section, then in that 1 hour, you will give 15 to 20 minutes to the understanding and theoretical part and remaining 40 to 45 minutes to practice it thoroughly.
So this month, we have to practice as hard as possible because we don't have much time left for the CLAT 2026 entrance test.
September Month
By the end of September, you must complete your practice of all the CLAT theory-specific chapters. After your preparation of those chapters, you should practice Data interpretation questions related to those topics.
The concepts of all the arithmetic chapters on which data interpretation can be created should be clear in your mind by the end of September.
If you cannot complete the theoretical chapters of maths by the end of September, you will feel pressure in your mind and will also be unable to study well.
There are many chapters in the quantitative techniques section through which the formation of the data interpretation questions is difficult, so for the CLAT 2026, we will leave that because we don’t have time to waste.
You have to focus on the CLAT-specific chapters only because you have only 3 months left for the CLAT 2026.
In these two months, August and September, you have to cover all the concept-based data interpretation topics: Percentages, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Mixture and Allegations, Partnership, etc.
If you cannot finish the whole theoretical part by the end of September, then you can take a maximum of 10 days more to finish it. Don’t take more than 10 days.
October Month
In October, you should activate your practice mode. You must practice as much as data interpretation questions based on various topics to be perfect in the quantitative techniques section.
You have to increase the frequency of attempting mock tests.
This month, you must start your revision and be on your A game for the preparation.
You have to analyze every mock you attempt because analyzing and rectifying your mistakes will help you greatly in your preparation period.
Attempting and analysing mocks should be done regularly because this will help you prepare well for CLAT 2026.
You have to do hard work with some smart work.
For example - you will attempt 3 CLAT Mock Tests in a week, so the 3 days in a week are gone in attempting the mock, so the next 3 days, you should analyze those mocks thoroughly and rectify your mistakes in those 3 days to be perfect for the upcoming exam.
The mock analysis is very important for the preparation of the CLAT 2026. You have to be focused on analyzing the mock because sometimes, in the mock test, you will get a complex graph or question, and analyzing plays an important part in that question.
You should watch video analyses of the mocks you attempt. In that video, experts will advise you on how you should easily attempt that question.
In October, you must practice and revise everything you have studied.
November Month
November will work as a backup month for us.
November will be your pressurized month because, in November, you have to work efficiently and complete all the unfinished topics or preparations left by you in the previous months due to festivals and various other factors.
Attempting a mock test will help you know the examination level and the types of questions that can come in the examination. So, attempt as many mocks as possible to enhance your speed and accuracy in the examination. Ensure that mock attempts aren’t just undertaken for the sake of it, and proper analysis without exhaustion takes place otherwise, it won’t help you.
If you write the mock tests daily, you will get to know how to handle the pressure of any national-level entrance examination, especially the CLAT 2026 entrance examination.
If you delay your study plan for the previous months, you will feel the burden in November. Or if you finish all your concept-based preparation by 10th October, then it is okay because you can take 5 to 10 days extra for preparation.
But in November, you have to be practice-oriented only. For 25 to 30 days in November, you must practice all types of Data interpretation questions available. And you have to attempt as many mock tests as you can.
Practice at least 30 to 40 mock tests in November to prepare you well for the CLAT 2026 entrance examination.
Practice is the only thing that will bring accuracy and speed to you. We all must have heard the phrase ‘Practice makes the man perfect. So, you must follow that motto to crack any national-level entrance examination, especially the CLAT 2026 Entrance Exam.
Until September, you must focus on only the accuracy part, not speed. After September, i.e., October and November, you can focus on speed and accuracy.
