How Will the LSAT India Will Be Conducted in a Remote Proctored Mode?

When taking the LSAT—India, you only need your trusty computer or laptop and a solid internet connection. This online exam is accessible to candidates with desktop computers or laptops, making it a breeze to participate from home.

However, here's a little heads-up: mobile phones cannot access the LSAT—India test. So, you might face issues if you plan on taking the system readiness check or the actual LSAT—India test on your mobile device.

You will need access to a personal computer with one of the following operating systems as a minimum:

Windows Operating Systems supported:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit) (excluding 'S Mode')
  • Windows 10 (64-bit) (excluding 'S Mode')
  • Windows 8.1 (64-bit) (all editions except 'RT')
  • Windows 8 (64-bit) (all editions except 'RT')

Other Windows OS requirements:

  • Windows Operating Systems must pass Genuine Windows Validation
  • Dual Core / i3 or above processor

Note that Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 7 are strictly prohibited for exam delivery.

Mac Operating Systems supported:

  • macOS 10.12 (excluding beta versions)
  • macOS 10.13 (excluding beta versions)
  • macOS 10.14 (excluding beta versions)
  • macOS 10.15 (excluding beta versions)

Requirements for BOTH Windows OS and Mac OS computers:

  • Do not take your exam using a computer managed by/configured under a corporate firewall (including VPN). Computers managed by corporate and office computers will have stringent rules imposed on them by the organisation. Attempting the exam using such computers will result in a problematic testing experience.
  • OS specified minimum RAM
  • 4 GB RAM or more
  • Attached or integrated working camera, allowing the camera to access the video capture during the exam
  • Administrator privileges to install applications
  • Internet with consistent speed (equivalent to browsing) (2 to 5 Mbps). Mobile hotspots and dongles are not recommended, as these can impact your testing experience due to varying speeds.
  • Supported web browser in Windows – Chrome (82.0 or above), Firefox (68 or above), Safari (latest version)
  • Supported web browsers on Mac – Safari (14.1.2 and above), Chrome (94.0.46 and above) and Firefox (92 and above)
  • Internet Explorer/Edge browsers are prohibited
  • Disable pop-up blockers in web browser
  • Internet cookies must be enabled
  • Updated anti-virus software installed
  • You must close all web-sharing applications like Skype, Team Viewer, MS Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, ShareIt, Webex, etc.
  • Tablets (hybrid like Windows Surface Pro) and mobile phones may not be used for testing.

All candidates who have successfully paid their LSAT—India registration fee will be required to complete a system verification step closer to the exam date to confirm their computer and other equipment meet the requirements to take the LSAT—India.

If your equipment does not pass the system verification, you must obtain replacement equipment and perform the system verification step again. Anyone who hasn’t successfully completed the system verification step cannot take the LSAT—India.

The following are strictly prohibited for exam delivery:

  • Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 7
  • Internet Explorer/Edge
  • All Linux/Unix-based Operating Systems

LSAT India 2024 Marking Scheme 

According to the revised LSAT India pattern, each correctly answered question will be added to applicants' total scores, henceforth offered on a scale of 420 - 480. 

Each question carries one mark. However, there is no negative marking for incorrectly answered questions.

LSAT India Section-wise Weightage 2024
