LLM Admission Through CUET 2025: Admission Procedure, Documents

The National Testing Agency is going to conduct the CUET PG LLM examination this year. The authorities have decided that the scorecard of CUET PG LLM shall be acceptable to the twenty-one universities. 

The final admission to the LLM courses is subjected to the candidates clearing the entrance examination followed by the counseling round. The agency has released the names of the universities that will participate in this year’s CUET PG LLM exam. 

As per the CUET PG LLM Exam Pattern, there will be two parts, part A having questions from the Aptitude section and part B having questions from the domain. The agency has also notified the CUET PG LLM syllabus for the examination. Candidates who score high marks in the exam and clear the cut-off marks will be considered for admission to the LLM course.

CUET PG LLM Admission process

The admission process for the CUET PG LLM is very simple. The selection process has a written examination followed by a counseling round. The candidates clearing the examination are called for the document verification and counseling round. Those who successfully clear this are subjected to final admission within the allotted college. 

CUET PG LLM Colleges Admission Procedure

Per the CUET PG information brochure, admission to the LLM course shall be offered by a total of 21 universities in the country. The brochure also states that admission shall be based on the merit scored in the entrance exam.

How to prepare for the CUET PG LLM Exam 

The CUET PG LLM examination is around the corner. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be exam ready. The agency has already released the exam pattern, and syllabus for the examination. Exam Pattern

CUET PG LLM exam pattern has been notified on the information brochure released by the NTA earlier. The selection process is going to consist of two rounds, a written exam and a counseling round. • The CUET PG LLM is going to be held online mode.
• The questions asked in the exam are going to be bilingual in nature, i.e., English and Hindi. However, you have to attempt the paper in only one language only. 
• The written exam has to be completed in a composite duration of 120 minutes only. 
• The authority will award 4 marks for the correct answer marked by the candidate.
• In case any wrong answer is found in the exam, then 1 mark shall be deducted from it.

Preparation Tips

Clearing the CUET PG LLM examination is not easy, citing the high competition in the examination. Hence, they are advised to follow the below-mentioned exam preparation tips. 

• Go through the CUET PG LLM syllabus and make sure to cover the subject-wise topics for the same. 
• Try to follow a study routine for the CUET PG LLM and stick to it till the day of the examination. 
• Adhere to your study notes made during the LLB preparations as most of the questions are going to be asked from it. 
• Follow a good quality mock test to cover the subjects and topics of the examination. 

CUET PG Counselling

The CUET PG counseling is conducted after the examination is over. The NTA transfers the scores of the candidates to the respective colleges. Next, the colleges release their category-wise cut-off list. Candidates are then required to apply for admission to the universities whose cut-off marks are less or equal to their CUET PG LLM score. 

On the basis of the applications received, the universities release the provisional merit list with the names of candidates eligible for the counseling round. This list is prepared by considering the seats available in the college. The final admission to the CUET PG LLM course is based on the candidates clearing the counseling round.

CUET PG LLM Spot Admission

CUET 2025 spot admission is for those candidates who are unable to find a seat during the centralized admission process.

Those candidates are eligible to apply for admission in the LLM courses offered by participating universities if the colleges have vacant seats. After the admission of CUET PG is over, the LLM universities will release the list with the number of seats vacant. The candidates can simply apply for admission to the relevant courses and colleges. Another important point regarding this is that candidates do not have to write any exam, but they have to appear in the counseling round simply.
