The deadline for students to submit challenges against the provisional answer key of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 session 1 is set for 11 PM today, as announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This closing window marks a critical juncture for candidates seeking to contest the preliminary answers provided by the examination authority. 

Important Highlights

  • Final Hours for Objections: Candidates have until tonight to raise objections against any discrepancies they find in the provisional JEE Main answer key. The process, aimed at ensuring the fairness and accuracy of the examination, is facilitated through the official portal, jeemain.nta.ac.in. 
  • Processing Fee Requirement: Each challenge submitted by the candidates is subject to a processing fee of Rs 200. Payments can be made via debit card, credit card, or net banking, emphasizing the NTA's policy that challenges without the processing fee will not be entertained. 
  • Opportunity for Correction: In an accommodating move, the NTA has provided an opportunity for candidates to re-submit their challenges if they previously entered incorrect question or option IDs, promising a refund for the initial fee paid.

How to Challenge the JEE Mian 2024 Answer Key?

Below are the steps to challenge the JEE Main Answer Key 2024:

  • Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in. 
  • Navigate to the “answer key challenge” section. 
  • Log in using your application number and password or date of birth. 
  • Select the question IDs you wish to challenge and upload supporting documents. 
  • Complete the submission by paying the processing fee. 

The NTA has outlined that the challenges will be reviewed by experts, and if found valid, the provisional answer key will be revised. This revised answer key will then be applied to all candidates' responses, impacting the final results. However, the NTA has stated that individual feedback on the acceptance or rejection of challenges will not be provided.
