How to become a Judge in Madhya Pradesh? 

The Madhya Pradesh Government every year releases the notification regarding the MP Civil Judge examination and along with MP Civil Judge Eligibility Criteria. The candidates must be eligible, age-wise as well as educationally to appear for the exams. If the candidate is not qualified according to the MP Civil Judge Eligibility Criteria, the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have completed their graduation in law, either 3 year or 5 year course from a University recognised by the Bar Council of India 

Number of Attempts

Maximum 6 number of attempts allowed

 The Judicial Services Examination is held for the post of Civil Judge in the High Court, and Direct Recruitment implies that applicants who are already employed in the Indian judiciary and aspire to become a civil judge can be selected by just giving an interview.

EXAM PATTERN

In order to clear the Madhya Pradesh Judicial Exam, candidates have to go through three phases- Prelims Exam, Mains Exam, and Vice-Voce (Interview process) to be a part of the MP High Court.

MP Judiciary Prelims Syllabus 

  • The Objective Types questions will be asked in the Prelims Exam, which is qualifying in nature.
  • There are two parts to the Prelims Exam. In the first part, there are Law based questions, and in the second part, the topics are- GK, Computer Knowledge, and English Language.
  • The candidates get shortlisted for the Mains Exam based on their performance in the Prelims.

MP Judiciary MAINS Exam Syllabus

  • Main Examinations consist of four (4) subjective (essay based) question papers, each paper consisting of 100 marks.
  • The first and Second question papers of Mains will be given together, while the third and fourth question papers of the MP Judiciary Mains Test will be given together.
  • The Process of Mains Exam itself would be conducted over two days.
  • The time limit for each question paper will be 180 minutes (3 hours).

How to Start MP Judiciary Exam Preparation?

  • An important trick here is to use the reverse mechanism technique. This means that you should start your preparation in a reverse way. 
  • You should prepare for the mains examination first; while preparing for the mains examination, you will be covering the prelims examination syllabus also.

  • Also, it would help if you focus on obtaining conceptual clarity rather than learning because the MP Civil Judge exam consists of both analytical and theoretical questions.
