Note these important changes in the CUET PG 2024 exam & their effect on your attempt

Overview: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for postgraduate admissions in the academic session of 2024-25 is scheduled to run from March 11, 2024, to March 28, 2024. The application process commenced on December 26, 2023, and candidates can submit their applications by January 24, 2024. 

The National Testing Agency, entrusted with overseeing the examination, has introduced specific alterations for CUET PG 2024. Eligible candidates are encouraged to review these changes to gain comprehensive insights into the modifications made for the upcoming examination.

Fewer CUET PG 2024 exam centres in 2024

The number of exam centers for CUET PG 2024 in India has dropped to 300 from the previous count of 313. However, the number of exam centers abroad remains unchanged. CUET PG 2024 offers 24 exam centers located outside India. Candidates are required to select two cities based on their permanent address for examination purposes. 

The registration charges for CUET PG have been raised

The application fee has risen by 200 for all candidate categories compared to last year. General category applicants now pay 1,200, while OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS candidates pay  1,000. Furthermore, the fee for each additional test paper has been adjusted to  600 from Rs 500 this year. For candidates outside India, the fee for up to two tests is currently 6,000, with an additional charge of 2,000 for extra papers. Previously, these fees were  5,000 and  1,500, respectively.

What's new in the CUET PG Exam Scheme?

In the upcoming CUET PG 2024 exam, candidates will tackle 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), a reduction from the previous total of 100 questions in the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate studies. Additionally, the exam duration has been revised from 2 hours (120 minutes) to 1 hour and 45 minutes (105 minutes). The CUET PG Exam 2024 will be conducted across three shifts: 9 AM to 10:45 AM for the first shift, 12:45 PM to 2:30 PM for the second, and 4:30 PM to 6:15 PM for the third. 

It's noteworthy that the NTA has transitioned from the former CUET PG website to pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. All inquiries related to the exam, FAQs, Information Bulletins, and public notices are now accessible on this new platform.
