  • The Common Law Admission Test 2025 occurred on December 01, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

To check the CLAT Result 2025 for both UG and PG programs, you must follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs, i.e. https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2025/

Step 2: Click on the login portal on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter your roll number, date of birth, and other details as required.

  • On the homepage, click on the Login portal.
  • In the login window, click on Forgot Password to proceed.
  • You will now be redirected to the Forgot Password page.

Tiebreaker Rules for CLAT UG Result 2025 

If two or more individuals obtain the same marks, the Consortium of National Law Universities will follow specific tiebreaker rules for CLAT result 2025:

  1. One who secures higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section will be given preference.
  2. The older candidate will be given preference. 
  3. If both candidates are the same age, the tie will be decided by computerised drawing of lots.

CLAT Scorecard 2025

The scorecard is an important document issued by the Consortium to everyone who has successfully cleared the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

The scorecard contains essential information about your performance in the exam, such as the marks scored, percentile, rank, etc.

During the counselling, it is mandatory to carry this Common Law Admission Test Scorecard without fail. It determines the student's eligibility for admission to the various NLUs.

Also, note that the CLAT PG scorecard will be valid only for one year. Therefore, you need to download the scorecard.

CLAT Merit List 2025

The CLAT Merit List is released online on the official website as a PDF, along with the declaration of the result. All those who have secured the highest marks will be listed at the top of the merit list.

The Consortium will prepare two lists, i.e., the General Rank List and a Category-wise Rank List. The merit list will include the following:

  • A total number of students who appeared for the Common Law Admission Test.
  • Your performance in the exam with the State Rank.
  • The standards on which you are selected.

How to Calculate the CLAT Score 2025?

The results are prepared by calculating the raw scores. Once the raw scores are calculated, the Consortium will prepare the merit list.

The marking scheme to evaluate the CLAT Result 2025 is given in the following table:

Total Score = 1*(Total number of correct answers) - 0.25*(Total number of wrong answers)

What After CLAT Result 2025?

  • As per the previous trends, more than 1 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam. 
  • The number of candidates invited for counselling is generally five times the number of seats available in the participating NLUs.
  • Based on this, it can be estimated that around 20,000 candidates may be invited for UG counselling and about 5,000 candidates may be invited for LLM counselling. 
  • The Consortium will release the cutoff marks after the announcement of the CLAT Exam Results.
  • You will be shortlisted for counselling based on the cut-off marks.
  • During counselling, you will be offered admission to UG and PG courses based on your Common Law Admission Test scores.

Steps to Follow for CLAT Counselling 2025

Here are the steps you must follow for the counselling:

  • You must register on the official NLU website to attend the counselling procedure. 
  • Once the first provisional list is released, you must choose three options: accept the allotted seat, apply for an upgrade, or exit the admission process. 
  • If the first option is chosen, you must upload all the required documents and pay a requisite fee to the allotted NLU.
  • If you choose the second option, i.e., accept an upgrade, you must pay Rs 50000/- to the allotted University and upload documents as per the schedule. 
  • If the last option is chosen, the allotted seat will be lost, and you will not be considered for further allotment.

Previous year's CLAT Cut off

The cut-off will be released separately for 22 NLUs. The Consortium of NLUs will release college-wise and category-wise cut-off marks.

Note that the cut-off would be released separately for each seat allotment round of CLAT.
