What Is Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT)

The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is the aptitude test for the students who want to take admission in the B.Arch program offered by IIT kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. The students who had qualified JEE Main and JEE Advanced, will only get a chance to give this aptitude test for admission.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will be directing JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test 2021. It is a national level entrance examination.

JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test 2021 will be conducted a few days after the JEE Advanced 2021 is announced.

  • The students will get the Architecture Aptitude Test application form 2021 from the official website of the JEE Advanced i.e. jeeadv.ac.in.
  • The Architecture Aptitude Test application form 2021 will be out on 5th October 2021.
  • The last date to submit the AAT application form 2021 is 6th October 2021.

AAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • The main and basic eligibility criteria to apply for the Architecture Aptitude Test 2021 is that the candidates should have qualified the JEE Advanced test 2021.
  • The students must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board or the students who are appearing for their final exam are also eligible to apply.
  • The general category students can apply for this aptitude test only if they are born after 1st October 1993.
  • The SC (Schedule Caste), ST (Schedule Tribe), and PwD (Person with Disability) category students can apply for this aptitude test only if they are born after 1st October 1988.
  • The reservation criteria will be OBC (other backward classes) – 27%, SC (scheduled caste) – 15%, ST (scheduled tribe) – 7.5%, and Others (unreserved category) – 50.5%.

AAT 2021 Application Form

  • The JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test 2021 application form will be available on the official website i.e. jeeadv.ac.in.
  • The AAT 2021 registration begins from 5th October 2021 after the declaration of the JEE Advanced result 2021.
  • The last date to submit the AAT 2021 application form is 6th October 2021.
  • The candidates have to register separately after JEE Advanced for AAT 2021.
  • The male students have to pay Rs. 2600/- + GST for the registration fee.
  • The female students have to pay Rs. 1300/- + GST for the registration fee.
  • The SC/ST/PwD students have to pay Rs. 1300/- + GST for the registration fee.
  • The Foreign candidates from SAARC Nation have to pay USD 160 + GST for the registration fee.
  • The Foreign candidates from NON - SAARC Nation have to pay USD 300 + GST for the registration fee.
  • The candidates have to upload the scanned images of passport size photograph, signature, and other documents. The size of the photograph should be between 4 and 40 KB. The size of the signature should be between 1 and 30 KB. Make sure the quality of the documents is fine. The photograph should have a clear background with a focus on the face.

How to fill the JEE Advanced AAT form 2021?

The students should follow the following steps mentioned below to fill the JEE Advanced AAT form easily: -

  • Go to the official website of JEE Advanced i.e. jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Click on the link displayed mentioning JEE Advanced AAT registration 2021.
  • Then, you have to mention your details such as substantiation, educational, personal, Academic, Contact, Guardian.
  • After filling all the above details, then one OTP will be sent to your entered mobile number and email ID for verification.
  • After verification, they will ask you a question i.e. Are you interested in AAT 2021? Then you have to press yes to proceed further.
  • You have to upload the required documents.
  • After uploading documents, you have to choose your exam center according to your wish.
  • Then you have to pay your registration fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI/ Cash Deposit (through e-challan at State Bank of India Branches only).
  • Take the print out of the final confirmation page of the application form.

AAT 2021 Admit Card

  • The candidates have to carry their admit card at the exam center.
  • There will be no issuing of new admit cards for AAT 2021. Candidates have to use their JEE Advanced admit card only.
  • You should bring a valid ID proof along with the admit card at the center.
  • The candidates are suggested to read the instructions on the AAT 2021 admit card carefully and obey them during the conduct of the examination. Also, check the details and pay attention to all the spellings, and the photo should be rightly placed. As this Admit Card will be used for future references also such as counselling and seat allotment.
  • In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/ her photograph and signatures shown in the Admit Card and Confirmation Page, the candidate may immediately approach the conducting Authority.

AAT 2021 Exam Centers

The AAT 2021 will be directed in all the 7 IITs across India. Candidates have to choose one exam center for them according to their wish or preference.

The following things you should carry at exam center with you at the time of examination: -

  • You have to carry a valid ID proof (like Aadhar card, Pan card, Driving License, Voter ID etc) with your Admit card.
  • You should bring your own stationary with you because at the time of examination you will not be allowed to talk or borrow things.
  • You should carry Pen, Colors, Pencils, Geometry Set, paint colors, Drinking Water Bottle with you at the exam center.

AAT 2021 Exam Pattern

  • The AAT 2021 will be conducted in offline mode i.e. Pen and Paper based. The Architecture Aptitude Test 2021 will be directed on 8th October 2021.
  • This test will have questions from 5 different topics on Drawing.
