Andhra Pradesh High Court Amravati has released its 2025  Judiciary Vacancies under Direct Recruitment and Recruitment by Transferring on the official website soon.

In this vacancy list, the Judicial Service Andhra Pradesh has segregated some seats for the Direct recruitment process, while the remaining will be allotted on a promotion basis. Also, the direct recruitment seats have been reversed under different categories to give all participants and the General candidates equal chances.

  • Visit the Official Website: Go to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh's official website: https://hc.ap.nic.in
  • Check for the Official Notification: On the homepage, look for the "Andhra Pradesh Judiciary Exam 2025 Notification" under the "Recruitment" or "Latest Announcements" section.
  • Register for the Exam: Click on the "Apply Online" link. New users must complete a one-time registration (OTR) by providing a valid email ID, mobile number, and basic details.
  • Fill Out the Application Form: Log in using the registration credentials (Username & Password). Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information. Carefully review the form before proceeding to the next step.
  • Upload Required Documents: Upload scanned copies of the following documents in prescribed formats:
  1. Passport-sized photograph (JPEG/PNG, under 100 KB)
  2. Scanned signature (JPEG/PNG, under 50 KB)
  3. LLB Degree Certificate
  4. Enrolment Certificate (Bar Council registration)

Like all competitive examinations, an Andhra Pradesh Judiciary Admit Card is a primary document to ensure your entrance into the examination hall.

Steps to Download your Judicial Service Exam Andhra Pradesh Admit Card 

  • Step 1: To avoid being intimidated by other sources, go to the official website and check to see if your Admit card is available for download. (Email, text message, and so on.)
  • Step 2: Check the admit card download link. It can only be found on the website in the Public Notice section.
  • Step 3: Log in with your verified credentials once you've found that link.
  • Step 4: Feed the CAPTCHA/security code, followed by the information mentioned above.
  • Step 5: You can view your admission card after successfully logging in. Once the download is done in PDF format, print a hard copy.

Andhra Pradesh Judicial Service Exam Eligibility (Direct recruitment)

Eligibility Criteria Details
Nationality Must be an Indian citizen.
Educational Qualification - Must have an LLB degree from a recognized university.
- Must be enrolled as an advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961 or eligible for enrollment.
Age Limit - Minimum Age: 23 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years (as of the last date of application).
Age Relaxation - SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
- OBC Candidates: 3 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years
Language Proficiency Must have proficiency in Telugu (reading, writing, and speaking).
Character & Conduct - Must possess good moral character.
- Should not have any criminal record or pending cases.
Physical & Mental Fitness Must be in sound health and free from any condition that may interfere with judicial duties.

Age

  • The first condition is that you must not exceed the age limit of 35 at the appointment time. 
  • Your age should be below 35 by the time of 1st November 2022. 
  • However, if you are from SC/ST/Women/EWS, you can use the relaxation for 5 years. For a handicapped candidate, they will provide you with 10 years of age relaxation. 

Qualifications

  • Graduation in LLB (either Hons or Integrated) from a university that has been recognized by UGC and accredited by the Bar Council of India is required (BCI).
  •  If you have completed the degree abroad, it should be equivalent to its Indian counterpart. 
  • You must have no paper left for your appearance. Your results should include a score for each past paper with no backlog.

Nationality

  • You must be of Indian nationality and have at least one government document proving it.
  • Also, if you are an in-house candidate (an Andhra Pradesh resident), make sure to bring your residential certificate with you because Domestic candidates are given preference over candidates from other states.

Experience

  • Experience is not mandatory for Direct recruitment. Therefore even if you're a fresh Graduate, just out of college. You are eligible to apply for the Judicial Service Exam.

Physical attributes and Character Affirmations 

  • You must have an upright attitude with honest nature. You should have a promising reputation in your name. 
  • Should be free from Physical ailments (those which are not mentioned under the eligible handicapped candidates) 

Appointment via Transfer

  • If you are applying under recruitment via transfer, you must not exceed 48 years by 1st Nov 2023.
  • You must be practising as a Defender/Prosecutor. If not, then ensure you are registered with the state bar council.
  • If you are not currently serving in the judicial branch but have previously worked as an advocate, librarian, field assistant, etc.
  • The position should be held for a specified number of years, after which the appointed officer will be promoted to a higher-paying position.

  • One who is dismissed from High Court service.
  • If you have been involved in any morally corrupt situation.
  • If they have banned you from the UPSC, APPSC, or other State or Central level Civil Service Examinations. 
  • If you have retained the power to influence the judiciary system directly or indirectly. 
  • Having more than 1 spouse can have you disqualified. 
  • You will not be deemed suitable for this role if you have any criminal record in your name.

  • Step 1: The first step will include visiting the official website of Andhra Pradesh High court, or you can use this link hp.ap.nic.in.
  • Step 2: When you arrive at the landing page, you will notice the "What's New" bulletin board.

Judicial Service Exam Andhra Pradesh Exam Pattern 2025

With the onset of the new section containing all the major information on the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Service Exam. Let's begin the Judiciary Exam Pattern with the stages of tests you must go through if you are one of the Direct recruitment candidates. 

Before starting your preparation, it’s essential to understand the three-stage selection process:

Screening Test

They will conduct the Screening Test online, giving you two hours to solve 100 questions.

Each question will carry 1 mark, and they will penalize you 0.25 marks for each mistaken answer. These scores will be deducted from your aggregate marks. With online mode, we mean that it will be a Computer-based test, and you don’t have to deal with the pen-and-paper situation.

Written Examination

They conduct written examinations offline in Pen and paper mode, and you can only participate if you manage to clear the screening test.

You have to write 3 papers where the first paper will be on civil law, the second paper will be on Criminal Law, and the last will be on Translation (English language Test). The aggregate score will be 300 because each paper will be 100 marks, and there is no provision for negative marking because these questions are descriptive.

Interview 

  • Once you are done clearing your Preliminary and Mains Examination, you will move to the Interview round. 
  • The aggregate score of the Viva will be 50 marks. You have to score more than 45% of this total. 
  • Once you clear the Interview round, they will list you on the merit list. From here, they will move you to the training/probation and then to the final joining.

The direct recruitment process of the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Service Exam, like any other competitive examination, has a cut-off score for enlistment. As a result, you should be aware that anyone who exceeds the required cut-off score will be considered the ideal candidate for the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Service Exam.

  • If you are in the General Category, you must score at least 40% in the Pre and Mains, and your overall score must be greater than 45%. (As a result, try to score as high as possible rather than settling for 40%).
  • If you are from the SC/ST/PWD community, you will receive a 5% reduction in your overall score.
